Skiing in Arapahoe Basin (A-Basin)
THE SKI AREA
Click on the map above for a much larger version (.pdf file)
There are only two things that matter at Arapahoe: snow and skiing. If you are serious about your skiing, then a day at Arapahoe (or A-Basin as it is commonly known) is a must. As you head up the winding road that leads to this skiing hideaway your mobile phone signal disappears and doesn't return until you do. There is no town nor hotels at Arapahoe everyone just comes for the day and plays in the acres of ungroomed snow. Simple, straightforward, ski heaven.
THE RESORT
Food and drink are available at the old fashioned base station and the (almost out of place) modern mountain restaurant at the halfway stage. ![]() |
